Pemalang (04/08/2024)- On Sunday, the 2023/2024 UNDIP KKN Team II activities in Pendowo village, Bodeh District, Pemalang Regency carried out a monodisciplinary program carried out by Fakhri Hasyim (21), a student in the Chemistry study program, Faculty of Science and Mathematics. This program aims to improve MSMEs in Pendowo village, as well as inviting the community to care more by creating the “NABUNG JELANTAH” program.
Pendowo Village consists of 6 RTs and on average the people work as farmers and traders, such as traders of Fried Chicken, Fried Tofu, and many more. Then Undip Chemistry students use the waste from MSMEs, namely Used Cooking Oil Waste, to make a product in the form of soap. and aromatherapy candles. The people in Pendowo village still have minimal knowledge of chemistry, this was proven. When UNDIP Chemistry student Fakhri Hasyim demonstrated how to make Arometarapi Soap and Candles, the PKK women in Pendowo Village were very enthusiastic and they asked lots of questions. And it is hoped that the program carried out by UNDIP Chemistry students in Pendowo Village can develop and become an MSME to reduce unemployment and clean the environment in the village.
The work program which was implemented on Sunday, August 4 2024, received a positive response and high enthusiasm from the people of Pendowo Village because it was useful and the method of making it was simple and could be used as an MSME to reduce unemployment in Pendowo village.
