Semarang, June 2025 – A proud achievement has been made by a student of Diponegoro University.
Andi Darmawan, a 2022 cohort student from the Chemistry Department, has successfully won two national-level medals this year.
His first achievement came from the National Science Olympiad – OSN-AT 2025, organized by the Forum Olimpiade Sains Nasional (FOSNAS) in North Sumatra, where Andi earned a Gold Medal. This prestigious competition gathered participants from universities across Indonesia, competing in various science disciplines.
Not stopping there, Andi also won a Silver Medal in the National University Chemistry Olympiad, part of the Einstein Science Competition 2025. This event was hosted by the Chemistry Student Association of Universitas Bengkulu in collaboration with the Lembaga Bina Prestasi Nusantara.
These two accomplishments reflect Andi’s dedication and consistency in mastering chemistry, while also bringing pride to the UNDIP Chemistry Department students.
“I didn’t expect to win two medals this year. The support from my lecturers, friends, and family really helped during my preparation and study process,” Andi said.
Andi’s achievements serve as an inspiration for other students to keep striving, innovating, and bringing honor to the university at both national and international levels. May this success be a stepping stone to even greater accomplishments in the future, whether in academics or in the professional world.
The Chemistry Department of Diponegoro University expresses full appreciation and support for this outstanding achievement and hopes more students will be motivated to contribute to the advancement of science through competitions and innovation.
