Guest Professor from University Malaysia Sabah, Prof. Sazmal Effendi bin Arshad, visited the Chemistry Study General Program at Diponegoro University to give a lecture with the theme “From Clay Minerals to Advanced Functional Materials – Work in Progress”. The lecture was organized by the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and attended by students and academic staff. In his lecture, Prof. Sazmal Effendi bin Arshad discussed the latest developments in research on functional materials based on clay minerals. He also presented his research results and discussed the potential applications of these functional materials in various fields, including technology, health, and the environment. The participants were very enthusiastic about attending the presentation and discussing with the guest professor from University Malaysia Sabah. The event is expected to improve the quality of education and research in the field of chemistry at Diponegoro University and to develop academic cooperation between the two universities.
