A group of four chemistry students from Diponegoro University (Undip) has achieved a remarkable feat by winning a gold medal in the poster competition at the prestigious National Invention Competition for Young Moslem Scientists (NICYMS) and International Invention Competition for Young Moslem Scientists (IICYMS) held at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Riski Aprianto, Indah Marita Dewi, Diva Xafiera Barlianto, and Muhammad Adam Zidane showcased their outstanding research on the “Application of Natural Chemotherapeutic Agent Based on Caffeic Acid-Graphene Oxide of Coconut Shell Waste,” earning them well-deserved recognition.

Riski Aprianto, Indah Marita Dewi, Diva Xafiera Barlianto, and Muhammad Adam Zidane’s award-winning poster presentation revolved around their groundbreaking research on the “Application of Natural Chemotherapeutic Agent Based on Caffeic Acid-Graphene Oxide of Coconut Shell Waste.” The project explores the potential of utilizing waste materials from coconut shells to develop a natural chemotherapeutic agent with enhanced properties by incorporating graphene oxide and caffeic acid.
