PT St Morita Farma, a local cosmetics manufacturer with the brand Euterria, continues to strive to enhance synergy with various parties to create innovative and high-quality beauty products. This time, the company has established a strategic collaboration with Diponegoro University (Undip), particularly with the Chemistry lecturers from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Undip. This collaboration aims to develop a line of hair care products utilizing liposome technology based on phospholipid compounds derived from coconut oil, as well as other natural active ingredients such as ginkgo biloba and candlenut.

Liposome Technology and Local Natural Ingredients

The CEO of PT St Morita Farma, Drs. Maruap Siahaan, MBA, explained that this collaboration is a significant step in developing cosmetic products using local raw materials. “We are collaborating with Undip, specifically the researchers and Chemistry lecturers from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, to develop cosmetic products that utilize the richness of Indonesia’s natural resources. Additionally, we aim to optimize the potential of research being conducted by Undip researchers, as there are several materials that show great promise for use as active ingredients in cosmetics,” he stated on Wednesday (5/2).

The liposome used in Euterria’s products is made from phospholipid compounds extracted from coconut oil. Coconut oil was chosen because it is a natural ingredient rich in benefits and has long been recognized in Indonesia. Liposome technology allows active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin or hair, ensuring more effective and optimal results. Furthermore, the product is enriched with active ingredients such as ginkgo biloba, known for its ability to improve blood circulation, and candlenut, which has been proven to strengthen hair and maintain scalp health.

The Role of FSM Undip Chemistry Lecturers in Cosmetic Innovation

This collaboration actively involves Chemistry lecturers from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Undip, who have conducted various studies related to natural ingredients and cosmetic technology. Prof. Dr. Kusworo Adi, S.Si., M.T., Dean of FSM Undip, stated that this collaboration is tangible evidence that research and technology originating from Indonesia’s academic world can be applied to commercial products that benefit society.

“The collaboration between Euterria and Undip, particularly with the Chemistry lecturers from FSM, is not just about creating quality products but also serves as a symbol of pride for innovations born from the nation’s talents. We are very pleased to see the results of research conducted by our researchers being applied to real products that benefit the public,” said Prof. Kusworo.

Euterria Hair Care Products with Liposome Technology

The Euterria hair care product utilizing liposome technology is expected to provide maximum benefits to consumers. The product is planned to be launched in March 2025. With a combination of natural active ingredients such as ginkgo biloba and candlenut, this product is not only effective in hair care but also safe and environmentally friendly.

“Through liposome technology based on coconut oil and other local natural ingredients, we want to show that Indonesian beauty products can compete globally without neglecting the natural wealth of the archipelago,” added Drs. Maruap Siahaan, MBA.

Euterria’s Commitment to Quality and the Environment

Euterria, as a local cosmetics brand, has long been known for its commitment to providing high-quality beauty and care products. The brand always prioritizes a natural ingredient-based approach, ensuring that its products are not only effective but also environmentally friendly. Through this collaboration, Euterria aims to continue innovating and creating products that are safe, effective, and utilize Indonesia’s natural resources.

“We want to contribute more to society through research and innovation. Research will continue to progress, resulting in products that can be utilized by the public,” said Drs. Maruap Siahaan, MBA.

Future Expectations

The collaboration between PT St Morita Farma and Undip, particularly with the Chemistry lecturers from FSM Undip, is expected to yield more innovations in the field of cosmetics and beauty care. The Euterria hair care product, set to launch in March 2025, is hoped to not only be a source of pride for Indonesia but also capable of competing in the global market.

“Our hope is that this collaboration will produce high-quality products from joint research, while also demonstrating that true beauty can be found in the natural ingredients available in our homeland,” concluded Prof. Kusworo Adi.

Through this collaboration, Euterria and Undip aim to prove that innovation and Indonesia’s natural wealth can provide effective, safe, and environmentally friendly hair care solutions. The product will be available in the market starting March 2025, ready to offer the best hair care solutions to the public.
