The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University, organized an online Visiting Lecturer program via Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM WIB. This activity is part of the faculty’s efforts to broaden the academic insights of students and lecturers, particularly in the field of materials and energy chemistry.
The webinar featured an international speaker, Dr. Hasliza Bahruji from the Centre of Advanced Material and Energy Science, University of Brunei Darussalam, who delivered a lecture on “Heterogeneous Catalysis and Photocatalysis in CO₂ Utilization and Hydrogen Production.” The presentation focused on the latest developments in CO₂ utilization and sustainable hydrogen production technologies through heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis.

The event was attended by approximately 130 participants, including students, lecturers, and researchers from various institutions. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident from their active engagement during the discussion and Q&A sessions. “Through this program, we hope that the academic community can gain new insights while also expanding international academic networks,” said Alvin Romadhoni, lecturer of the Department of Chemistry, Undip, and coordinator of the event.
Through this Visiting Lecturer program, the Department of Chemistry, FSM Undip, reaffirms its commitment to supporting the advancement of knowledge and research in the fields of energy and environment. The activity also serves as a concrete step by the faculty to strengthen global research collaborations in addressing the challenges of sustainable energy in the future.
