Course Description
In this course, students learn about: (a) introduction to separation methods commonly used by chemists. (b) The basic principles of physicochemical separation are molecular mass, molecular volume, molecular shape, dipole moment, electric charge, polarizability, and chemical reactivity (c). Students are expected to be able to distinguish the basic principles of separation methods. Students are also introduced to applying separation methods for mixtures of ions/molecules/organic compounds in waste, food, body, etc.
