Course Description

In this course, students learn chemical concepts thoroughly, especially at the macroscopic level, and begin to introduce chemical concepts at the microscopic level. Students learn the benefits of chemistry, scientific methods in chemistry, classification of substances, phases of imports, and Physico-chemical changes. Studying chemistry at the microscopic level includes the basic concepts of chemistry built under the paradigm of modern chemistry, namely chemistry which is understood at the atomic, molecular, and ion size materials. After studying atoms, molecules, and ions, it is continued by learning the concepts of chemical bonds, molecular shapes and geometries, chemical reaction kinetics, energy, and entropy. All these essential concepts are studied at the atomic, molecular, and ionic levels. After students obtain the material above, students will be able to understand the phenomena caused by chemical substances in the environment and become the basis for understanding chemical concepts in a more profound understanding obtained in advanced courses such as organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry.
